I just got registered onto Ice in Space. It is a great service to us astronomers. I am a keen novae hunter amongst gallaxies. Will be on the farm early next month to do some star gazing. I am hoping to come across some people familar with the 416 pictor MEADE CCD camera as I have bought one second hand (not from astromart!) This will be my first steps in CCD imagery. I hope it will be a big improvement at the scope MEADE 12" SCT on BYERS 812 EQ-Mount here in Pingelly, Western Australia.

It belong to a friend in the United States. Yes, geckooptical.com is a good place for used telescope equipment. Ice in Space is now another one too. I manage geckooptical.com and keep tabs on who comes by and registers. At one time I had a lot of nuisance users and now corrected the programing scrip to select who comes into geckooptical.com. I have a write up on preventing fraud. I was stun on eBay once, but had the person confront the Frankfurt police twice and he was stun in return. But never got my Olympus OM-4 back again. I suggets to all who read this to get as much information from the buyer as possible. as with eBay and astromart have feedback for good reason. geckooptical.com has too, so always leave feed back on such sites as this helps when making your decision when buying. If some one commits fraud report it first to the police get a report done up. Then FAX email and phone the police in their country and report it to the consulate of their country near you. You will be amazed what progress can be achieved to stop such people. There are some countries to utterly avoid, and I mention them on my site.

If you are buying an expense item always get more contact detail before you hand over the money.
