hi folks,
it's been a while...
I don't know how it is on your location guys, but here wheather has turned really nasty in the last year(s).
meanwhile we hold at 1 decent night every 4-5 weeks...getting worse I am afraid...
so this is the reason I decided to finish this project on NGC 4214.
I intended to go real deep with both, lum and rgb.
all I got within 1 monnth is 2 hours lum and 50 min each channel...
not much and therefore quite tough to process.
also there are not many images on the web...at least I did not find a lot.
nevertheless it is a beautiful and fascinating galaxy I think!
I love all those irregular ones. and to the bottom left I think we see a small 'traveller' that might get cought or might have been caught by gravity of 4214. perhaps one of the tidals R Jay has published together with his pro-friend is yet to be formed,...or it is just not visible in this image, since my lumin. data is so slim... )-:
please find the image(s) and all data on my website:
www.stargazer-observatory.com/4214.html (http://www.stargazer-observatory.com/4214.html)
thanks for looking guys!

A very interesting object in an interesting field of view!

Shame to hear about your weather, Dietz. I hope it clears soon for you so we can be presented with more of your amazing work.

Lovely image Dietz, very detailed and very natural looking colours.

I like the little galaxy cluster that you have captured as well.

Cheers

Another amazing image Dietz.

You don't often see these irregular Galaxies.

Well done.

Hi Dietmar,

Another lovely and interesting image. Sydney weather has been great the last few days, a pleasant surprise from what we have been getting the last few months. Still, compared to what you have been getting maybe we shouldnt complain to much.

...thanks for your nice words, guys!
it is really funny,...I get sympathies on the weather from all over the globe.
it seems to be a global problem in fact at this time.
advantage: it can only get better... (-:

Beautiful capture Dietz even if the weather was against you.
The galaxy just glows, it's wonderful.

Hope you get an improvement in your weather pattern soon.

Nice work, Dietmar:)

It might be an irregular, but you can easily see very prominent bar and arm structures there. Somewhat similar to the LMC, except more prominent.
