Here's the latest addition to the DSI/ED80/EQ6 galaxy hunt. Image is a stack of 25 x 1min subs through the red filter, stacked on the fly. If the sky is clear tomorrow night I'm definately going to give this a try with the 400D.

Great image Peter, you've captured some great detail in the spiral arms.
I'm very interested to see how the 400D images turn out if you get the chance.

Thanks Ric. Hope the weather cooperates tomorrow night. It has been magnificant all week but cloudy tonight (typical).
I'm also planning to give M83 another try with the DSI/Newt.
