Hello all,

The skies opened up last tuesday night and I did 2 hours imaging centered on the cometary globule in Scorpius known as The Dark Tower. I used my modded 300D on the WO 110mm ED APO working at f/4.76. Autoguided on a G-11 mount.

I was after the Barnard 44a dark cloud to cause it is suppose to be one of the darkest and sure enough it is pitch black - it appears at right of image.

go here to have a better look http://www.skylab.com.au/pmsa/DarkTower.html

skies have been overcast ever since....

Amazing image Paul, I can see what you mean about 44A being one of the darkest.

Cheers

Good stuff Paul. The dark tower is one of my favourite objects. I like to composition presented. Well done.
