Looking for a 16" mirror and thought I would look here first. Probably not
likely, but dang! I'll give it try anyways. Looking for something with a focal
length around F/4.5 to F/5
So if you have one available, PM me :)

I have one, A DIY, Cassegrain , with hole, made from a 19th century ships porthole, The primary is Aluminised, or at least was , its been in storage in NZ for years.. Primary is very good, but secondary was lost. In af all things a "boating accident".. It needs someone than can finish the configuration, or make a really long DOB...
Primary was ground by Graham Loftus.. Of Auckland..Ive kept it for sentimental reasons...

Hi Shawn,
Thanks for your reply, but I'll pass as I'm looking for a mirror for a dob. I
should a focal length, so adjust the original thread.

Hi Shawn,
What is the f ratio of the mirror (or focal length)?
And, as the bishop said to the actress, how much?
Cheers,
Jason.

The compete assembly was to be F10...Not sure of the primary. The primary was aluminised for working on the secondary , It tested up good... I guess someone here could take an educated guess at the FL of just the primary...I guess it would suitable for a dob, after all the hole is where the diagonal would be...... certainly help with cooling, the glass was nearly two inches thick prior to grinding...
Hope that helps..

The primary would have to be around F3.5 to F4 extrapolating from F10...
