You got caught too, huh? Just returned mine a few weeks ago! Wouldn't work in my 10" 4.5 either. Didn't say anything on ebay re; only for ETX's. Had him send a 2nd one to try. Same thing. Only for f7? & longer fl t'scopes. Have you tried to return yours? Good luck. :D L.

I have no idea mate. All I know is what it says on the box and I have typed that here.

so you cant focus it? not enough outward travel? if so have you tried pulling it out of the focuser a bit and locking it in place? I have to do this with one of my EPs

It focuses ok,it just dovetails the stars from about half way from the FOV and I find it really ,really annoying to look through. The view from the center of the FOV is spot on but I want something I can enjoy looking through.
I have a few GSO's 9mm,25mm.32mm and they operate far better than this ep in my scope.

The views thru my f4.5 dob were in focus in the centre out to around 70% fov but outside that, the image just blurred. Light cone too wide???? Gazz & I, have learned that ALL eyepieces are not for allround use!!!
CS-John B, Would you know why this happened, technically speaking? Do you think these 'Chinese Meades' are being made for specific t'scopes? Sort of limits you, 'borrowing the guy next doors' E/Pc., doesn't it? I can see it now, "Hey Bob, mind if I try your XXX for a while?" "Sure, No prob. Bill." 1 minute later... Bill to Bob,.."Bl***dy things useless in my t'scope, can't focus properly." :poke: "Oh, didn't you know Bill, it's only suitable for f10 t'scopes!" :ashamed:  :tasdevil: :D L.
Moral .... Read the specs. before you buy.
