After playing with the 450D I grabbed the modded 350D for the Eightburst nebula, which was just past the meridian, perfectly placed for imaging at the highest possible resolution, the scope had been out for hours in the chilly night air.
6x5 mins ISO400. UV/IR filter, Baader MPCC coma corrector. 10 inch f5.6 Newtonian, Hand offaxis guided with q guider cam showing guidestar on laptop screen.
Here is a full frame view, and a full res. crop from the centre.

Another great quick grab that!
Again, looks rather natural.

Thanks.
Tis good to hunt down fairly high surface brightness planetaries when the seeing isnt too bad. Not a breath of wind either all night.

Very nice Scott, although here the wind picked up around 2am and the seeing was crud!
Nice shot Scott well done.

Another lovely image .
Lovely Scott, the crop shows up the different expanding layers of gas very nicely.
It's easy to see why it's called the Eight Burst.

Thanks. Conditions were ideal here, a little dewy but not too bad. The guidestar would occasionally boil a little, but would often stabilize reasonably well. Around 11 pm though, cloud started to materialize and moonlight appeared so I called it a night.

Thanks everyone :)
Im thinking if Id shot the Eightburst with the 450D Id lose a lot of the HA red around the exterior of it. Also Ive only got one battery with it. I will get a 2nd battery and when they finally become available, the little dummy battery that will plug into the existing Canon 240V adaptor. Thats the big criticism I ave for canon, they should have a plug in the camera body for the ext. power, not mucking around with silly dummy battery packs.
