Its not all about price. Some shops will actually test and collimate your scope, rectify any problems before dropping that crate on your doorstep.

True .... you will get what you've paid for .... if you want quality - it doesn't come cheap , don't expect a quality scope with quality components and optics for a bargain basement price.

I wish they would do the same for their mirrors, better off buying the whole
scope and ripping out the mirror and you also get a secondary, spider and
focuser free
I'd buy a 12" mirror for $300:whistle:

On his website 12 inch F5 mirrors are $699.00. So he is selling the whole Dob and acccessories for $599.00. Tony

Gee... I'm sorry Tony, I was more refering to the overall discount and price
over some months with these GSO's and this particular retailer... and
watching competitors lowering their prices. And realistically looking at what
he probably could charge for a 12" mirror. So the first part of my post was
correct, just didn't think the second part needed explanation... sorry

He is making things cheaper for the average Bloke to get into the Hobby. The only trouble is if they keep hammering away at one another one of the Retailers is probably going to go Broke.Tony

Even if you got the F8 mirror, the problem would be the height of the eyepiece, focal length would be about 2.5 m....
