These were captured early this morning from Woombye, near Nambour (Maroochydore) on the Sunshine Coast.

I'm up here for a few days on holidays:)

The conditions were OK...but not great...

Still a mile better than anything I've had in Brisbane for the best part of 9 months.

Sadly...no GRS...but still plenty of activity on Jove, particularly in the SEB and North Polar region.

Looks like the seeing might be on the improve too. Will be out there again tomorrow morning...and hopefully with the DMK. These were taken with the ToUcam Pro II and 3x barlow.

I've included a 1.3x Mitchell resample in Registax. It's a good way to gauge the seeing. It just holds up to this much resampling, which indicates to me the seeing was probably around the 6-7/10 mark.

You are the master of the ToUcam Matt :)

Can't wait to see what you can get from the Sunshine Coast with the DMK.

Thanks chaps. Appreciate the kind feedback and encouragement.

It's certainly been slim pickings up here in S-E Q'land...for quite a while:(

There's a high pressure system currently making its way across the SE which might deliver something decent in the way of seeing, but having said that it's not a particularly strong system. Only 1025 at its centre...so we'll see what it delivers.

There's a low pressure trough and a couple of cold fronts behind it, which will send things pear-shaped...but might be quite nice right before those arrive. Just depends on their timing.

Fingers crossed, eh?

I have just got back from 5 days on my friends house boat in Tin Can Bay (Inskip Point), the sky was fantastic, didn't take the scope, not much good on the water.
Had great fun fishing though.
