shes a little noisy..... um well really noisy. BUT the sky has been really awful lately plus the moon, ........lucky to get anything at all through the sludge in the sky.

If you saw my sky you would know how lucky I am to get anything.....it's just that with a new camera you really REALLY want to get something, even anything at all. I really hope that the sky clears when there's no moon....

Interesting, I have adjusted my monitor using a grey scale step chart, and I see monumental noise in this image. I did not see it before!!! I thought there was a bit, but now I see what you are talking about.

Have to go back and try again....

Hey Theo,

after calibrating my monitor I decided that the image was so &*^*^*( that I am embarrassed - My dark levels were so far out that I could see no difference in the bottom 3 grey levels, hence the noise was all but invisible to me. Now that I have the grey levels set properly, the noise is humungous...
and I've deleted the image.......

As to clouds, if I take a long enough exposure, I'm sure I can get through them ;)

cheers
Gary
