First light image taken last night, through a full moon and high mist - at the time the moon was the only clearly object visible from East Keilor in Melbourne.
13x5 mins QHY8
ed80 (image cropped to eliminate field curvature)
Hutech LPS filter
No darks, bias or flats (hence some goobies on the chip showing up)
cheers

the q8 cameras are becoming the thing to have,
might suggest you resize the image so as to lose some of the jpg compression, otherwise it looks good.

image is much cleaner which is a must to me, youve gained a little in the outer area but lost some of the nice detail in the kehole area........processing is a bit of an art
youve got the right attitude though keep at it.

Hi Gary, Nice one, not as easy as it looks at first. I think I am starting to get the idea at capture but have to work on the processing. I have just started an image run on NGC2070 so I will be interested to see how it ends up.
Keep it up and thanks for the help.
Cheers

Nice one Gary.
Is it possible to lift the brightness somehow?
2nd image looks cleaner but very dark.
Well done.

I think I need to do some sort of monitor calibration - my lcd seems to be producing results that are too dark for other people :-(
Will try again and see if I can do better (loking forward to another try when no fog or moon!!!)
cheers
Gary
