Some of you probably already know about this but for those of you who don't .... google earth 4.2 and later now has a sky view mode which enables you to find astro objects with pictures from Hubble etc.
So in case you are interested just download the latest version of google earth and go for it !

I've just been checking it out and it has a lot of information available such as messier and ngc catalogues etc plus virtual animations of objetcs with interesting info. Well worth a look !
