Hey guys, im selling my much loved telescope off as i need to fund more wide field photography equipment and because im moving closer to the city. I brought this off a friend 2 months ago, scope and optics are in excellent condition and has always been stored in its carry case with tons of silicone packets. Collimation is also spot on

I have greased the gearing aswell, all the gearing and mounts are solid metal, no cheap plastics like on some of the lower end models.

This is a repost from a previous thread that i couldn't edit...

What you get:

Hi aokman

I am interested but pick up isn't really an option for me. What would you estimate postage to Adelaide and are you confident that you could send it here no issues. Iam looking for a Meade 10" or Celestron 11" scope at the moment.

Regards

Gav

Sorry mate i would love to sell interstate as ive had tons of offers but i cannot oblige. I cannot find a box near the size of the carry case and i dont have an account with a courier company. The box is probably the biggest issue. I am happy to deliver within reason such as meeting someone half way if its a long distance or dropping it off if its local.

Anyone else interested, im going to split it up shortly and sell it all on Ebay if theres no interest :)

I know petrol is expensive at the moment:mad2:, but if you have to travel a few hundred kilometers to get a good bargain then do it.:)
If you consider the cost of freight, and put that towards the fuel it doesn't come out so bad;)
Ask Gargoyle Steve,he drove a couple of thousand kilometers round trip to Mackay and back, cost a few hundred dollars in fuel but saved about a thousand, and is one very happy person:):):)

Hi - there's a couple of courier companies around where you don't need an account (perfect for people selling stuff on ebay too large or heavy to send by regular post, and who don't have courier accounts.) I've used one called Smartsend that is listed on ebay as alternative to Australia Post. I've used them quite a few times to transport large fragile items and have been very happy with them. You can do quick quotes online too which is convenient. (I have no association with them - just a happy customer!) Hope this helps.

Thanks for that mate, yeah i researched a few last night and that was one of them. I would love to send it but finding a box that is big enough for this carry case is an absolute pain :(
