My better half just passed this on to me: thought we could add it to our philosophical tenets.....
1. Psychiatrists say that one of four people are mentally ill. Check three friends. If they’re OK, you’re it.
2. Nothing in the known universe travels faster than a bad cheque.
3. Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.
4. A truly wise man never plays leapfrog with a unicorn.
5. It has recently been discovered that research causes cancer in rats.
6. Always remember to pillage BEFORE you burn.
7. If you are given an open-book exam, you will forget your book. If you are given a take-home test, you will forget where you live.
8. The trouble with doing something right the first time is that nobody appreciates how difficult it was.
9. The average woman would rather have beauty than brains, because the average man can see better than he can think.
10. A diplomat is someone who can tell you to go to hell and make you feel happy to be on your way.
Cheers, Darryl.

1 Thats relative, and, better crazy than boring.
3 You kidding !!!, Paris Hilton nude is what moves the Hoi poli sadly, nudity (or near) works.
4. He who doesnt at least try to leap a unicorn doesnt learn anything (its doing so that makes you wise).
Wise thoughts Darryl.
A question Fred in regards to "3" if Paris does speak whether it be nude or not does anyone really listen?

She doesnt have to, an image is worth a 1000 words. And if she does, do they listen?, you bet. Youd be supprised at how many of the 14-30yr old odd female demographic look and listen. How much influence do you think she has when the only external influence outside a 5m radius many of this demographic have is "no idea", "who", "womans weekly", "womans day", "hello", "OK" etc with Paris as the main expounder of fashion style, life style and moral standards, with no other news input or reading material of any sort (or indeed any other exposure to the world). And of cause the Paris wannabes in "sex in the city" etc on TV.

Golly gee fellas, I really must be getting old - I was thinking (or rather trying not to think!) about myself in "3" - but then again, perhaps that really would make an impact, but not a very nice one!!!!!

i actually think the film clip of Pink and the song Stupid Girl sums her up nicely....... its my wifes video, i just get subjected to her musical tastes, im much more dated.

Better question perhaps is do the unwashed masses (under 40) listen to, or have any respect for old farts like us ? (unless we own popular mags, TV stations and fashion companys, in which case Paris is money in the Bank, same diff). Back to the original statement "Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society". I understand the sentiment, but in reality, Paris influences the clothes man wears (the ones that count, in popular culture), and influences the fairer sex by what she doesnt wear.
The point being, superficial influences count for more than you think.

Ahh Yes, but if a tree falls in the forest and lands on Paris Hilton, will anybody care?
Or will there be a "compressed spine bark chic" fashion line hitting the stores the next day? Perhaps with the headline - "Paris' new TIMBERRRRRRRRRR diet, how to lose 25 kilos in an INSTANT!"
Can't wait for that one...

I must have met a few diplomats over the years - I just mistook them for dip****s. You all know the type, going to hell would be better than enduring their company:scared:.
Quite a solid point you made there Fred and on reflection I'll have to agree with you.
Cheers
I remember the one fact of life my father told me.
If you want somthing out of this life, you will have to work hard for it.
I was trying to ask him what he really meant by this when he cut me off as the Tattslotto numbers were about to be announced on TV.
Go figure!!

There was somthing embedded into my psyche from a very early age and it wasn't until this thread that it all became clear
Just imagine if "Doing the Hokey Pokey" is really what it is all about
