Well it looked like it was going to be a promising night for my first Jupiter this year so I set the gear up, covered the scope with the bbq cover(nice fit) and set the alarm for 3am.

By 3:30 Jupiter had cleared the mango tree(it's a huge mango tree) and by around 4am the moon set. There was a gentle breeze coming and going which may have helped keep the dew at bay. But alas, the jetstream was still jetting so no fine details really to be seen.

First image has Io's shadow just about to leave the disc and I know the 2nd image has Io transiting but I can't see it.

Very nice images Mark, very smooth. :)

You captured a lot of detail and good colour.

How many frames were stacked for these images?
