On the same night that I took the photo of Omega, I captured this image as well, just before I packed it in.
I used the same equipment, 80 mm Orion ST & DSI Pro 2 in L only, not guided, 269 images @ 0.006 sec exposure on an LXD55 SN10.:)

Very nice work! Good contrast and nice and smooth.
I see some cross-hatching though that was in Matt's DSI image - is it common to DSI images? Is there an option in registax or envisage to turn it off?

Howdy. Sorry for the delay on replies, been busy.
Stacking made quite a bit of difference as it cleans up the image as it goes along, according to your evaluation count.
The cross hatching, Im led to believe, is due to interlacing in the camera as the DSI 2 Pro is not a planetary/bright object type camera. It doesnt tend to leave this artifact in deep sky images, like this poor attempt at Centaurus A below.
