Dear All
I have purchased a focal reducer for my VC200L.
It brings the focal length down from 1800mm to 1278mm now giving me a field of 40arcmins x 1 degree with my 40D. This allows much more of omega cent to fit in a frame.
The photo is from last night taken between the clouds with lots of moon. It is only 3 frames of 5 mins processed with Iris

Very nice, 3 dimensional appearance to this great big ball of stars.

Great Omega Terry - nice subtle colours.
Hi Terry stunning mate love it.
Phil
Nice work Terry. ~1200mm is a sweet focal length which opens up opportunities to many targets. Your image is a prime example. Well done.

Terry ,now thats a very nice Omega, colors etc are real nice and a great field of view with the shorter focal length.
Look forwards to some nice deep shots when the moon goes away!

The focal reducer is working a treat Terry. Nicely resolved and really good star colours. A great image.
Terry that's a beautiful capture indeed !
Love the colours in this image.
The VC200L with reducer and 40D looks like a great combo.
