hi. i have a q about dew prevention. what can i do to limit /stop the dew on my telescope?

Les, we'll need more information - what type of telescope? Where is the dew forming?

Of course, if you keep it inside and covered always, you'll get no dew on it! ;)

hi. i have a 10"dob. the dew is forming on the tube . is this a concern? i am worried it mite rust.

You might consider a new & improved coat of paint if you are worried about rust - talk to your local paint shop - there are many options depending on the trouble you want to go to

If you want to be really serious, you can try this approach, a complete repaint job:-

If you have no rust now and don't want to go to the effort and expense that Dave did, I suggest a good wipe down at the end of each session and keep it somewhere where it can get a warm airflow to dry. Indoors, if you are lucky. Otherwise in as dry a location as you can find.

If you wan to help protect the paint finish you could do like you would with a car and apply some automotive wax
