Hmmm, some careful planning and execution is required, no doubt, to get the right range of focii. I'm sure you'll have it sussed soon!

Very nice. You need one of Jim Fraziers lenses, lens face to infinity, all in focus :)

Hi Ving
I used a “free for 30 days” application called Helicon Focus (http://www.heliconsoft.com/)and all I had to do was drag and drop the input photos into a Folder and Helicon then did the rest. The input photos were taken from the same point (tripod mounted camera) although the flowers were swaying in the wind, therefore appearing at different locations (slightly) in each photo.
Cheers
Dennis
That's a fascinating photo Ving. How did your subject sit still for so long, must be well trained. ;)
It's a pity we all know you took it, it would have made a great repetition subject for the photo challenge.
Cheers:)

I reckon he uses flypaper to make em stay in place Ric.
Excellent work David.
Though it's starting to freak me out a bit, looking at a fly that close.
thanks peeps!
in actual fact the shot was taken at night and the fly was asleep when i starting taking picutes. I have learned that this its the best time to hunt them. alas lighting becomes an issue then.

David,
We find the occasional slow motion fly in the cold cabinets at work.
So if you want to take your photos during the day, maybe you could refrigerate them first.
lol, that would work... and cheryl would LOVE flies in the fridge! ;)
thanks jeanette :)
