Getting a 40D shortly.
Getting the filter changed looks like it has benefit for astrophotography , from what I can see at the Baader site.
This is interesting : http://www.astrosurf.com/~buil/baader/eval_us.htm
My camera will not be just used for astrophotography and I don't want to risk my warantee or reduce it's functionality.
I'll likeky keep on using my Minolta XD5 (35mm film SLR) as no digital camera will match a good negative or slide emulsion for resolution.
Has anyone sent their cameras to Baader Planetarium for an professional astro-conversion ?
This in not cheap , I can buy another for fatter faster lens for the price and I don't trust local camera techs to do the job.
How does the conversion effect the use of these cameras for daytime happy snaps and tourist type snaps and portraiture.
