Yes another Carina. I was really after the Rho Ophiucus complex but cloud came in just as I was about to start. So you will all have to suffer another Carina!

Details
Canon 5DH, Canon 300mm F2.8L, Hutech LPR filter, Camera at -10C in fridge.
Exposures 10x( 7s, 15s, 30s, 1m) at 200 ISO, 10x1m at 400 and 800 ISO, 30x2m at 800 ISO.
ImagesPlus used to convert from RAW to TIFF and correct fo flats. RegiStar used for median stacking and obtaining identically sized stacked images differing only in exposure. EasyHDR used to produce an LDR image from HDR image.

As you can see the fridge produces data with extremely low noise even at only -10C.

That is a beauty Bert, now all that technical has got me a bit lost, will have to work on that technique at some stage, very impressive image.

Hi Bert,

The colours are really vibrant and as you say the noise seems to be absent for all intents and purposes.

Are you using a modded camera or is this just as standard canon 5DH (seems to have picked up the red very nicely). Obviously a very nice camera.

How long does the cooling seem to last for? Was this done over a series of sessions?

No David one relatively short session. The Canon 5DH is modded that is what the H stands for, ie Hutech modded. The cooling is active so it lasts as long as you want and fully controllable. Just search my posts and you will find more information.
