Hi Guys,

The modded 40D doesn't cut it for me. I know the niffy new functions are pretty good to have, live view, heaps of custom fuctions, 14 bit raw, 6.5 fps, no need for long exposure cable etc etc, but this camera seriously isn't for me. I don't get 9/10th of the functions and what it is used for.

Camera comes with original box, manuals, all the cables, CD's etc etc in brand new condition. no dust on the sensor you can have my word on that.

Let me know if you are keen on one but better act fast before i change my mind and before someone else grabs it as i know there are quite a few people on here looking for one.

I'm still at the stage deciding. Just want to see if anyone out there is interested.

$1650 + Postage and its yours.

I paid much much more than that with custom costs, postage costs, etc etc. and that was only 1 week 1/2 ago. Once again, my lost is your gain stupid me..

Hi Eric,

I must apologise, but I think I'm better off staying with my 400d for the time being. I'm a bit confused, I don't know if I want to jump toward a modded DSLR or a coooled ccd such as the QHY8.:screwy: Sorry about making the offer, please pass it on to the next in line, who may be able to make better use of the camera. Perhaps in a week or so I'll regret passing it up, but I don't want to cause you any delay.
But... are you really sure you want to sell? I'm sure you can do great things with a modded 40d once you master the concept of raws and colour balance. Gee, if I could do it, so can you!:)

Sincerely,

Rob

Hi Eric,

a couple of questions as I might be interested in it.

1) what kind of modification has been done to this camera?
2) what compamy did it?
3) does this camera come with any warranty?

cheers,

Michael

Hi Michael,

1) The camera has been replaced with a baader ACF/BCF filter.

2) Bobby McCourt did the modification. You can see his tutorial and the actual camera here:

http://strgazr27.zenfolio.com/p71444939

3) Unfortunately no warranty after modification. Any modification done to a camera voids the warranty with canon as it's been tampered with but since you are in Melb, you certainly can test all the functions before hand.

Cheers

Hi Eric

I have really enjoyed browsing your posts on Ice In Space – you have a prodigious output, not to mention talent, producing an amazing number of superb images.

I hope you manage to find some time and space to “get your head together”, to find that comfortable place inside where all is well.

Cheers

Dennis
