Dear All
I took this image a few nights ago after playing with the dim Abell PNs
It is 12 x 5 mins taken as sRAW files with my 40D. I did this to make smaller files that don't take as long to process on my less than fast computer. I didn't realise that Iris doesn't like sRAW files and refused to make them into colour images. I then tried DSS and it was happy to stack them. It seems much harder to control the output levels with DSS compared to Iris but I suppose it is what you are use to.
Scope is my VC200L at 1800mm guided with Q-guide and guidemaster.

Lovely image Terry, I like the scale and detail. The outer halo appears a bit blue though.

Nice work Terry. Good detail stars are spot on.

Agree with Mike a little less blue would make it even better.

Nice scale & detail Terry but I agree with the others, just a tad too blue.

I agree. Because of the change in my usual processing for the sRAW file I couldn't use the normal G2 star balance that I usually use and had to guess. Not scientific at all:P

I have fiddled with the colour balance. I think this is better.

Better colours but now overexposed at the core.

Are you using Photoshop? If you are, make sure you "preserve luminosity" while fiddling with the colour balance - this will help stop the burn out you've added at the core.

I think you've got a good image there!

Cheers, Marcus

Sadly I don't have photoshop but am using gimp. It obviously takes lots of practice to do this well.
