Self Guiding Is Go !

Hi All

Haven't been doing much for a while until this last week when I finally got self guiding on my ST2000XCM happening. I also finished converting my shed to a roll off roof setup so things should be easier from now on.
These are some of my first self guided images .... not great but they are a start.
Hope you like them !

Very nice Steve, how long were the sub exposures?. Slightly over optomistic colour balance :D, but very nice to view.

The slightly eggy stars are easily fixed in PS of course, should be done.

Mind you, the Eta is particulary good. The pic sequence shows guiding improvement as it progresses, top work.

These are all single shot images, no stacking, exposure lengths are found in the name of the images. They vary from 60 sec ngc4755 to 360 sec for a few of the others.

Yeah Gary ..... thanks for your help and encouragement, I'm looking forward to many hours of imaging with the ST2000XCM especially now I have my roll off roof setup !



No subs, just single shot exposures. Still coming to grips with the software.



Thanks Bassnut ..... I really didn't do that much to these shots other than deal with the nasty light polution around here and I'm sure there is a lot of room for improvement. Eta, Jewel and Omega were shot on a different night to the others

Thanks Leon. It's great to see all the detail when the camera downloads the image to the monitor, it's one of those wow moments every time so far .... more to come in the future !
