I've made an image of Polaris last week. It's the first time that i've made one threw my Starhopper. You can (clearly) see that Polaris is a double. The camera was a Canon AV-1 and the used film was Kodak Superia 800. I've tried to do some processing but can't get my star really white (on the original it's also white so ...).

Hey! That gives me an idea!!
NASA should put some really big mirrors in orbit around the Earth so we can see the Nthn Hemi Sky and Visa-Versa!!!
(Won't work but it sounds good)
Good capture of the double Keiken!

Well done Robin!
Not an easy object given the 6 magnitude difference.
Here's my shot, but with a 20 minutes exposure time and 2000 mm focal length.
C8 in prime focus on a Vixen GP DX.
Of course the companion doesn't show up on this shot, but it is a nice demonstration how boring this part of the sky is (which also applies to the SCP region).
Cheers,
Kieken

Yep, it's boring overthere. Still it's the only part of the sky that I can capture on film by using long exposures without any other equipment.
Man, I need a motorized mount, and fast. :)
