First clear night for a long time. 2.5 hour exposure made form 900sec integrations. Through Williams Optics 132mm on a G11. No flats and no dark frame. The Q8 is a one-shot colour camera can't wait for the Q11.
Downsized from 6meg and a crop of galaxy. Will produce a calibrated image next processing session.

hey thats a great shot - lovely round stars, and the detail in the galaxy is wonderful.

The image is very smooth (what else can you expect from 2.5hrs of data). :)

Is the Q11 a mono or a better one shot colour? Also wouldn't mind knowing the processing steps you went through to get here.

That's a fantastic shot for no calibration!

I'm looking with interest at these QHY cameras!

The Q11 is a mono, so it should be sharper and that will push the Williams a harder. It also has adjustable cooling and other features normally seen on Sbig and the like.
As for processing there is not much done. The image is stacked with Deepsky stacker and then stretched and decon in astroart the saved as a jpeg. Open up in Photoshop and a basic colour balance and resized. Still learning as far a processing is concerned.
Just trying to get everything working at once for capture is my main focus. There always seems to be something.

Nice work Ken, plenty of detail in that image, well done indeed.
