Tens of 1000's of Australians were surveyed just over 2 years ago by Advertising Company conglomerates, and I think it was Morgan Gallup poll, for Consumer Affairs and some Sydney Uni to find out the most recognisable Logo in Australia.

See if you can guess the outcome!

What would you say is the most recognisable Logo in Australia.

NOTE: the winning logo was recognisable by toddlers aged from 18 months to folks in their 90's, from all States & Territories, Cities, Rural & Outback Aboriginal populations. The outcome was: the logo was recognisable by 99% of those surveyed.

Second Place was only recognisable by 72%!

First Prize is 10 Free posts in the IceInSpace Forums.

By the way: This survey cost Taxpayers a fortune! What a waste of time & money.

Hooray! Slick got it!! The Telstra logo.

Interestingly, the full name 'Telstra' came in about 12th.

But the logo below was 2nd.

Ford? Must have been a wierd cross section of people they polled.
abckids in green is the only abc logo recognizable by my kids.

The most recognisable logo in the WORLD is Coca-Cola but 2nd was a total suprise!!

It is the UN on the United Nations car doors!!!!!!!

All this weird info is on the net but I haven't been able to find it tonight. I'll have a google over the weekend. Some interesting results.

Oh, by the way, in the Australian survey the Golden 'M' for Macca's came in 4th and the Uniting Church logo was 5th.

The total list has logos you wouldn't expect in the top 20.

Ken Said Just a bit of trivia, the ABC logo is a Lissajous figure, made by beating two sine waves (one 3x the frequency of the other and 90 degrees out of phase) against each other in a cathode ray oscilloscope one input to the X axis and one to the Y axis. If one of the frequencies is slightly less than or greater than an exact multiple the pattern rotates. :( I can't find the survey results. I found it 2 years ago for the work I did with Teenagers by searching google : 'National Surveys and Polls Australia'

I'll keep looking.
