After many attempts of aligning and waiting for the weather on the sunshine coast to improve we had the best night of our brief deep sky photography. I thought I would post our most successful image to date. We are very excited given the fact that we are posting Centaurus A that consists of:

Lights 3 x 5 Minutes at ISO 800 of which i believe DSS only stacked 2 of them and 2 Darks.

Image taken with ed80 Skywatcher, HEQ5pro mount, PHD guided, stacked and processsed in DSS.

After some Eta Caarina shots we turned to the Sombrero at 2.00am and notice that the power light on our mount was flashing which put an end to our night.

Nice shot, you managed to capture the dust lanes. Focus, guiding and processing look good.

Peter we were using an unmodified Canon 350 D.

Nicely done Mark. That's a great shot for only 2 images stacked.
