A bit of sunspot activity today. These pics taken with the ED80/400D/18mm Cemax EP and a 1000 OAKS Type 2 Plus solar filter. You may notice the extra long drawtube on the ED80. It is one from the ED100 and was specially ordered from Tasco a year or so ago. Even with the extra long drawtube it just focused. More convenient than extension tubes.

The sunspots were quite spectacular through the PST as well and there was a rather large filament just south of the sunspots about a fifth the diameter of the disc. A couple of nice proms were viewed as well. A fair bit of cloud about so I gave up, hopefully this evening will be clear.

Looks nice Steve, you should probably reduce the size (pixels) of the image to about 800px wide which will mean they don't have to be compressed so much to fit in the 200k limit.
Is that full frame or cropped?

Full frame Mike, I'll get the hang of it one day. Great fun taking images, especially with the DSLR's these days. I remember back in the old days fiddling around with emulsion film which was painful to say the least. I thought the introduction of the Olympus OM series of cameras was a Godsend.
