For lack of a better area to post this message (please correct if I've put it in the wrong place)....

I'm wondering if anyone out there is planning on attempting to record the occultation of a star by pluto on April 04/05?

See: http://calys.obspm.fr/~sicardy/05_apr_08/index.html

I'm going to be attempting it, after having some success with another pluto occultation back in 2006.

I'd be interested in hearing from others, I'm realtively new to occulation stuff having only done the pluto ones previously.

Roger.

Hi Roger,

perhaps, the observational astronomy forum...?

This one is a little to faint for me.

I'm looking forward to the Pluto and Charon events on 22nd June, See...

Mag.12.4 target star is more comfortable!

Agreed - the June one is much easier it seems. Although Perth isn't in the predicted shadow of the event, but is near by.

This one (Saturday night) was clouded out for us. Rain and all. Better luck to us for the June one :)
