I just looked at our “Wildlife of Greater Brisbane” book and these ants look too much like the dreaded Red Imported Fire Ant – I really hope that I am totally mistaken and they are not!:scared: Could also look like a Red Meat Ant?

i dont think these are fire ants dennis as fire ands are quite small... these are clearly 1 meter long :P

i dont know what these are but if they were fire ants we'd prolly know about it wouldnt we?

That’s a relief – the fire ants are 2-6mm in length according to our book.
