Took a few shots in the backyard over Easter, using a 70-300 telephoto/Macro lens on the K100D. Not as good as a dedicated Macro lens, but still good enough for a bit of fun. Hope you enjoy them!

Cheers,
Stephen

Hah – who needs a dedicated macro lens; you’ve produced an excellent portfolio without one, top stuff. What a fascinating universe, the life of insects at the opposite end of the cosmic scale.

Cheers

Great shots Stephen

Until I got my macro lens at Christmas I never really took the time to see just how varied the insect inhabitants of my backyard are. I think we are lucky with our sub-tropical climate as well.

I have been trying to get a decent bee photo for some time. In my backyard there are two Blue Banded bees that only seem to land just out of reach. ...one day I will nab one of them :)
