Eta Carina with 12" GSO and Canon 300D

G'day everyone,:)

Here's a reprocess (with new techniques) of an image I previously did with the modded 12" GSO scope and modded Canon 300D riding on the G-11 mount.

It's a 75-minute exposure @ ISO-200 with the 6 Megapixel Canon 300D ( 25 x 3-min. sub frames).

You really got to have a look at this version of the image http://www.skylab.com.au/pmsa/ngc3372g.html which is a 50% reduction from the original image.

Verrrry nice Paul: I'm no imager (maybe one day) but I know a bit about composition; and I especially like the element of depth or layering you've captured in that "central" region, very evident on the larger image - congrats!

Excellent Paul. Even zoomed right in, detail is preserved, focus and guiding is good, and no hint of processing artifacts, top work.

yes top work there, I like how it shows subtle changes of colour from reds to pinks in different parts of the nebula.

Eric, He used ISO200 to bring out more colour in the stars. less chance of saturation of stars in bright nebulae.

Skwinty, he uses an SBIG 402 camera for guiding on his Losmandy mount
