Hi guys,
I signed up to the forum yesterday and have already put in a booking for several of us to come to the star camp. I thought I would briefly introduce myself.
I bought a Celestron C8NGT at Christmas last year and after several weeks of cloud I was finally able to use it in time to catch Saturn! Eventually I sussed out a rough alignment procedure and now I seem to be cooking. Prior this my only scope was a Tasco 60mm which I got for Christmas in the early 1970's.
I am hoping the camp will give me some practical insight to aligning and collimating my scope and how to keep the pesky mozzies away in summer and the fogging up in winter! I also have a Coronado PST which, to quote our daughter, is "So cool". By the time of the camp, I hope to find the finances to double stack it and get even better views.
Thats all from me for the moment.
