Howdy,

Yes i know another "my best" but really, i think it is :) I don't normally use "my best" if i havent taken the same object less than 5 times. With the lagoon, i think i have shot at it more than 8 different sessions hence this is my best out of them all :) Exposures were 10 x 7 minutes at ISO 400. was taken early in the month at 4:23am last exposure was around 5:30am just enough time before sunrise. quite low in the horizon during that period 8th March 08.

Additionally, i have been asked how come i have been posting images but i have sold my camera already? Yes, im an imaging freak, i don't sleep much. No family commitment as im not married. I get home from work at 6pm. I eat dinner at 7pm after that will spend entire nights pulling overnighters from dawn to dusk (even on weekdays with work starting at 9am sleeping at 6am each night every night if it is clear so last week i went "mental" collecting as much data as possible before letting my camera go so yes, i have alot of data :) Also i do have a social life. Actually too much, look me up on facebook if you wish :D Enough rambling anyway hi res here: ;)

sweet little image there eric... not a jpg compression sign anywhere... supersmooth, dont know how you do so welll down in the big smoke ( maybee i should say big lights). Nice detail in the nebulosity around the edges of the nebula. Once again super smooth, well done!

Nice work Eric. Impressive details and nice processing. Colours look a little too "electric" for my tastes, but that just a personal opinion. Well done.

cheers guys many thanks for your replies. Yes i normally save my images with quite alot of jpg compression due to the border and info and low quality to fit the image under 200kb. now thanks to Alchemy, there is an easier method

Definitely made a difference in the quality of your images without the border and info Eric.

Hi Eric,
Is Alchemy a person or an imaging program? I can't find any information on it / them.

Nice photo, again. I love the cluster of stars just to the left of centre.

Thanks David/Barb.

Hi Mrsnipey. No, Alchemy is an IIS Astrophotographer. YOu'll find some of his excellent work here. He showed me how to save my images without jpg artifacts. If you had read the replies on this post you'll see him :)

That'll teach me.

Sorry Alchemy.
