Wanted - Astronomical binoculars - to borrow, rent or buy

OK, I know this is a slightly odd request.

I'm spending a week inland, far away from the bright skies of Bondi, but can't take my LX200 along with me :sadeyes:.

However, I can't bear to waste an opportunity for some good seeing! I've got a pair of general purpose Meade 7x35's which I'll use if I have to, but I was hoping for something a bit more powerful...

SO, does anyone have a pair of astronomical boniculars they could either lend me, or let me "rent"? I'd be happy to leave some sort of bond.

If you have an old pair going cheap, I might even consider buying them. But they would have to be pretty cheap.

I could loan you a pair of Fujinons, but you will be forever spoiled by the sharp optics and will never be able to use anything else. You will also need to have strong arms or a monopod for stability. Contact me........ if you dare !
