Hi Folks,
Here is one of my latest images and a first for me!
Taken last friday night under good seeing and transparency.
Was going for a full 2 hours worth but unfortunately fog rolled in and ended the session early :(
I don`t know what all the NGC designations for these little nebs but is sure a interesting area to image! sure worth going deeper like Marcus image!
Ok image is 15 x 6 min at iso 800 with my 6" newt and modded 300D like usual. Stacked in DSS and finished in PS. PHD guided very well throughout the exposures and find it does a much better job after some more tweaking!
All comments are most welcome
cheers Gary

Wow Gary, what a lovely rich area of nebulosity and beautiful colourful background stars.

Very well captured and processed.

What did you tweak in PHD?

Excellent work Gary, love the loops and dark clouds inside.
Stars look pinpoint and shadows aren't clipped, well done.

So what did you tweak in PHD, which version are you using?

Very nicely done Gary! You've also captured the colour difference with 3603 (on the left) - a much more distant object.

Next time I'll go the wider field and get 3603 as well.

Cheers, Marcus

 very funny Houghy, but thanks Houghy, Andrew and Mike for that.. oh and Marcus!
I changed the RA aggressiveness to I think its 70 and another setting as well...will have to have a look. I think its version 1.4 and using a GPUSB to guide port..I shall have a look at the other settings on the pc...
cheers Gary....

Thanks Eric and Barb and Dave! Most of the neb is very faint and not a real easy target but its well worth a go!
