Well the moon is too bright to try and image any faint fuzzies, so I had a play with my point and shoot Canon A5 Powershot -eyepiece projection and my little ETX 70
This is a stack of 9 15 second images, taken through the standard 25 mm eyepiece.Processed lightly in Photoshop and noise removed with Neat Image
The heavy gradient is due to the bright moon;the stain suggests that my favourite eyepiece has rather more dust on it than I feared.
Anyway I rather felt it turned out an interesting image..seems its a pretty good representation of what one can see through the eyepiece with an ETX 70.
Maybe it would be worth trying other objects-say the Lagoon and Triffid together-which can be easily framed in one image with this technique.
on the other hand why bother when I can image with a canon DSLR and an ED80? ;) ;)
