Just a few links to information I found helpful and for the most part understandable :)

It's taken me a while to get around to thinking about getting better eyepieces (EPs), and what might be suitable for my 10" dob, although these articles apply to other scopes as well. Hope this helps some beginners like me.

This link (http://astroprofspage.com/archives/575) is a quite long piece, with a bit of EP history thrown in

The 4th post down on this link (http://cs.astronomy.com/asycs/forums/p/28784/356335.aspx), by tkerr, is quite good, and talks about 2" vs 1.25" EPs

This link (http://www.printthis.clickability.com/pt/cpt?action=cpt&title=SkyTonight.com+-+Choosing+Your+Equipment+-+An+Eyepiece+Primer&expire=&urlID=19043757&fb=Y&url=http%3A%2F%2Fskytonight.com%2Fe quipment%2Fbasics%2F3311076.html%3F showAll%3Dy%26c%3Dy&partnerID=115966;) is off the Televue site, by Al Nagler, and is a little more in depth but I still got much out of it (check out other links on that site too!)

Good reading!
