I haven't seen too many images of this distinctive nebula.

160m L, 50m R, 50m G, 50m B, BRC-250 ST-10XME. (Killer CCD).

Some seriously deep photons and image scale here Steve!
(no fly specs on you :) )

Cheers

Lovely wisps of extremely faint nebulosity Steven. A killer CCD indeed. Would be hard pressed to capture such detail with other chips. Well done.

Steven,

I'm deeply impressed by this image - perhaps just as much by the dark clouds coming out so well as with the bright nebula itself!

Your images also show how much interesting stuff there is to be found off the well-beaten path... :)

That's a great shot of an object rarely imaged.

Never seen that before.
I'll be looking it up in the future.
Very nice image Steven.

The dark nebula above 2626 looks like a person on a ski or snowboard.

My curiosity sparked by Steven's image I pointed my 8" f/6 newt at NGC 2626 last night with little hope of seeing anything at all, but just to try, as I was 'in the neighbourhood' looking at a few local Collinders anyway...

I was amazed that it showed up in the EP, with much less detail than in the image of course, but still... the dark cloud almost touching the star could be seen (DCld 259.9-00.0)

The Snowboarder however was beyond my limited capacity... I reckon as an imaging object it easily outshines the Running Man though... ;)

I have seen NGC 2626 a few times but it is not one of my favourites. I think NGC 5367 is a bit easier visually.

That's very impressive indeed, excellent work.

I'd love to get into imaging with the ST-10XME but it's beyond me.

Thanks for sharing Steven.

Thanks for the kind comments.

It took me a while to find the man on the snowboard.
Initially I saw putrefied road kill with the green and the red:shrug:.

I think I would have a hard time dealing with those ink blot tests.

Clear skies
