I spied this nest in amongst the iris's the other day. I have some macro lenses that screw on to the lens, from memory this was taken with the 1+ and the 4+. Not sure what that means but happy with the result.
Canon 400D, 55mm, f6.5, 1+ and 4+ macro, iso 400, 1/80 sec.

Nice work Tony. Those relatively low cost filters are quite effective when compared to an expensive true macro lens.
Cheers

It looks like a bullet belt loaded with 303 ammo, nice shooting

LOL Leon, now we know where your son gets his gun fetish from......

Thanks Joshman and all,
They are Hoya lenses that fit on the filter thread. No I haven't cropped it, thats it in all its glory ;)
Very interesting how they go about building the nests.
pretty interesting constructs hey :)

hmmm, from memory, that was taken with the nifty-fifty reversed ontop of my 70-300mm lens @ 300mm, f32, 1/30s, tripod mounted...naturally :P
(just checked the exif on the original, those details are correct)
it was a difficult shot to get, cause the wasp kept hiding around the other side of the nest from the camera.
