Well done on your first shot! You've got a tiny bit of vignetting but otherwise very nice.

Have you read my article, on astrophotography with a dob?

Yep I have read it was very helpful, I have to make an adaptor for the camera as it has an odd size filter ring on it and none of the camera shops have been able to help me with it. I think once I can mount the camera correctly the images should come out better.

An adapter will definitely help.

Also it's time to start learning some processing tips and tricks.. here's my rework of your shot, done in 60 seconds in photoshop. Hope you don't mind.

Nope I don't mind any extra help in imaging is always welcome it’s interesting to see the same image that has been adjusted on another computer it has shown me that I may need to adjust my monitor that I did the original image on.

Hi Darren

Great shot. I particulary like how Aristarcus appears like a bright jewel on the terminator.

Cheers
