Nice capture David. I am sure it is just reflection from his snout, but his eye gives the appearance of being see-through.

!!!!!!!!!!! A 10ft (no, 3m) mantis would have to be one of the most terrifying things to dream of. They are so well equipped for murder.

Nice photo Ving, a great capture – these are lovely creatures although we only see 1 or 2 each year where we are in Brisbane if I have my insect ID correct?

i used a reverse mounted nikkor 55mm f3.5 micro mounted on a 3 times teleconverter. lighting by a sigma ef500 dg super flash.
