Milky way

I took this shot a few of years agofrom my observatory with a combination of a 28mm wide angle lens and a Macro Micro lens, giving a field of about 170 degs, Minolta SRT101, pickybacked on a Celestron Ultima 8 unguided
I thought of this when I read the latest AS/T and mine doesn't look to bad for a cheap setup. astroron :astron: :stargaze:

Hi All, thanks for the complaments, the the bright object is Jupiter and the photo was taken on July 19th 1996.
Mike a Micro Macro lens allows you to take very close up photo's as well as very wide field photo's much wider than my 28mm lens.
I was playing about with my 28mm lens and realised that the Micro Macro lens fitted onto the 28mm and was in focus , it gave me a nearly a wrap around image of my lounge room,so I thought I would try for an all sky image and that was the result.Regards astroron :astron: :stargaze: :thumbsup:
