Anyone know if Starlight Feather Touch Micro focusers
are available in Australia?
If not, can anyone recommend a reliable overseas supplier.
The Starlight Instruments web page seems a bit out of date
and they do not accept credit cards.
Thanks,
gb.

Gary Beal is a member of this forum, and sells the Starlight Feathertouch focusers I believe. Send a PM to "gbeal".

I got mine from Starizona (http://starizona.com/acb/Feathertouch-MicroFocusers-C654.aspx), very good to deal with. Not only were they prompt, with good communication, but they actually charged me less postage than the amount listed on the checkout at the website:thumbsup:

Here I am. The Micros are excellent, I had one on a Tak refractor focuser, and they are also available for the SCT models. The only comment I have is they only provide fine focus, and are not the magic bullet to fix mirror flop, or slop in a R&P focuser. One of my Taks had a little shift in the R&P, and while the 10:1 was nice, the shift was still there.
They can be sourced from the above Starizona site, or direct from Starlight Instruments http://www.starlightinstruments.com/
I did have a few newtonion type focusers etc, but don't have any Micros. If you need help sourcing one, contact me off group.

I put an order to Starlight 10 days ago - brigitte said my feathertouch focuser shipped yesterday!

If they have a fault, it is they tend to be very busy, and the instant turn-around I would expect doesn't happen.
Really nice people, and a top product, and well worth the wait, and the money.

Thanks for the replies.
Will probably order from Starizona (credit card).
Gary, thanks for the background info.

With Starizonia ping them to check freight costs - its not $50, should be around $35 AUD:
Shipping: I ship with the US Postal Express Mail Service (EMS) which takes 5 days and it provides a tracking number. Your package would cost $28.

Right on. Invariably, anything I get sent direct from Starlight, is about US$35 for postage.
Did you consider buying direct from them, not that you shouldn't consider Starizonia.
