Taken last Friday night. David actually did an all nighter capturing data on three different galaxies.

This is the first one I have processed from that night Got a lot to learn about processing galaxies but reasonably happy with this one at this stage.

Spot on colour balance, nice work with a DSLR, and good spiral arm extension. Ive struggled with colour balance with this one. Stars, dust lanes, all correct :)

Nice job on this one guys

I am assuming the star spikes are from your scope?

Isn't imaging fun?...when the electronic eye bug takes hold the eyeball can be all but forgotten.

Never too late Leon, appreciate your comment.

Thanks Ric, quite happy the way the arms came up

Hi Middy, glad you like the image.

Yes Mike the star spikes are from the scopes spiders.
Sometimes Barb is itching to get the Dob out just to do some eyeballing as she still enjoys it.

The 40D has certainly helped us improve as you have found out yourself Doug. Love the canon programs that came with the camera, although they have been another learning curve, they are great to use

Thanks Andrew, appreciate you commenting on our images.

Thanks Gary. Will keep an eye out for your M83, so we can learn sum more. :)
