Snake Valley - a huge thank you

Well sitting here at work anxiously awaiting the photo shop guy to develop my 4 rolls of film - yes folks, FILM! Almost 100 photos taken at Snake Valley over the weekend under great dark skies. Unlike the instant gratification of the digital world I am sitting here desperate to get the call from the shop to say they are ready - the waiting is torture!

While I wait I just wanted to say what a great weekend it was amid the relaxed and friendly enviornment that is Snake Valley. I also wanted to thank everyone for their generosity, patience and friensdship.

This was my first attempt to do prime focus photography and I simply couldn't have managed without the help I got from so many people. Even when things were going wrong with their own setup people found the time to help me without a grumble.

I particularly wanted to thank Ken, Daniel, Erik, Doug and Darren for their technical help, advice, tips and information sharing. But really everyone there deserves a thank you for making it yet another great time at Snake Valley.

Watch this space for 100s of photos from yours truly (that is if I got the focus right through that half inch ground glass screen!!!)

PS - just for the record - last year we won the lucky door prize, this year it was the raffle!!

PPS - it's 2 days since newbie Darren (forget his username) left SV - has he bought a new scope yet :lol:

With a pair of Eric's recomended Bino's in the kit and a few other bits and pieces.

I've actually been on the weights since I got home, to make sure I will effortlessly move the new 12 around.

Thanks for the great time on the weekend, can't wait to see some of your, what's that stuff you use, oh yeah FILM pics.
