Hi Ken, is that from a single 10 min shot? It is hard to say at the image scale you have attached but the stars look distorted to me, you would probably do better with shorter exposures and stacking...I assume that is why 15 mins was too long.
Having said that it is a nice clean looking image - what processing did you use? Did you use ICNR or darks?

John. The 10 min exposure was slightly better than my other 15 and 20 min single shots. Not much in it though John.
What dark frame??? Never tried it. I only ever use Levels, Curves and Brightness controls in PhotoShop. Don't like too much fiddling with images.

Ken, the reason I ask is this thread:

So I an trying to understand how you got a 10 min single shot without noise or amp glow. Granted my shots are through an 8" f9 tube but the comparison is interesting to me - any chance you can post at the same size (25%) as my images for a side by side look?

John. Can I email you a decent size image to you. You can perhaps then upload what you like?
