Hi all

Seeing was good, peaking with a solid 7/10 just before 6am on Tuesday morning. This is the best image from the session, when Jupiter was at 42deg altitude.

Taken at 30fps, 55 s each channel. Though at 1/30s exposure the histogram is just over half full in R and G, and at about half in B. I really need it to get brighter and higher, or have a bigger mirror, more sensitive camera, etc :) The lack of dynamic range with a slightly underexposed histogram makes processing much more difficult.

Approx 500 frames stacked for each channel.

Thanks for looking.

hey Mike, we both imaged a similar part of J, but 2 days apart, you got yours two mornings ago and I got mine this morning... interesting comparison!

cheers, Bird

Very nice Mike, and thanks for the write up too. I do enjoy reading about the technical and environmental challenges and the efforts made to mitigate their effects.

Cheers
