Looking east in the mornings, such a joy..

G'day all,

I've been getting up early for long days at work lately :( ... but a really nice side effect is seeing the show being put on in the east these days.

The first thing I do is walk out to the dining room and look out the window (usually left part open with the aircon on - hot days & nights, so it's the first thing I see). Out to the east has been clear skies with Jupiter, Venus, Mercury (I think) and the Moon ... they've looked so stunning!

In fact I don't even have to think about it, usually Venus is at the right place that when I walk in the room it's the first thing that grabs my attention.

Crisp clear skies..
Fresh breeze coming in off the Wheatbelt to the east..
Very bright planets shining..

And all the more enjoyable that I know my telescope's been working hard all night capturing images for me ;)

It makes the horror days start off much better than otherwise :)

The skies just before sunrise are simply amazing. To bad it has been cloudy lately. :sadeyes:

I saw the conjunction of Venus, Mercury and the Moon on Wednesday morning (when it was clear in Brisbane).

Absolutely spectacular, particularly with Jupiter hanging in Sagitarius higher in the sky.
